It took only a year for the Special Angels Rodeo to spread across the area. On Saturday, hundreds of people attended the second annual event to let special needs adults and children experience rodeo-style events. Groups and individuals with their families attended the rodeo at the T2 Arena on Old Peveto Road. Dozens of volunteers helped and other members of the community came out to enjoy the fun. Activities included roping, mock-bull riding, and stick horse racing. Food was free for the special needs friends. The Harris family, which owns Farmers Mercantile in Orange, started the event at the request of Lue Harris. Businesses across the area have helped to sponsor the rodeo.
