Friends and Supporters of the Orange Lions Club Charity Carnival:
The Orange Lions Club Board along with the club membership has spent many hours determining the best course of action regarding our 2017 carnival. We are still in the process of assessing potential damage to our equipment and determining plans to address any issues. This is also the case with many of our fellow clubs who are a vital part of our carnival. Many of our club members were also affected, like most of Orange County, by the flooding and are working on putting their lives back together.
Taking these factors, along with many others, into account we have decided to forego our 2017 carnival and begin working on plans for our regularly scheduled 2018 carnival. This will allow our clubs time to fully assess needs and address them. Our goal is always to provide a fun and safe carnival to Orange County and we will work to ensure that happens in the fall of 2018.
As always, thank you for your support. Our carnival isn’t just ours. It is a community event and wouldn’t happen without the support of Orange County. Hurricane Harvey may have knocked us down, but we will get back up and be back better than ever in 2018!
