A new nativity scene is now on display at the Orange County Courthouse. The figures for the nativity scene arrived the week of Thanksgiving. Supervisor Kurt Guidry and the county’s Maintenance Department erected it Wednesday morning with a manger they constructed themselves. The new figures were approved by the Commissioners Court in early November at a cost not to exceed $8,000 to replace a nativity scene that was over 20-years old with several broken pieces. The nativity scene faces Division Street near the intersection of Border Street.
