Community Health Fair ~ Free to public~ First Baptist Church of Mauriceville (11540 Hwy 12 in Mauriceville, Tx) Tuesday, March 28 from 9a-Noon. Information on services available to public from 20 vendors, speakers for event include : Congressman Brian Babin, commissioner Barry Burton, ofc Tim McCarver among others. Door prizes and refreshments will be offered. Blood Center mobile will be at the event too.
Sabine River Ford and First Financial Bank  are having a fundraiser for OCARC on March 30th.  We will be cooking from 11:00-1:30 for anyone that wants to stop by and buy a sack lunch of 2- links, chips and drink for $10. All proceeds go to support the OCARC.   This event will be held at the Sabine River Ford parking lot and everyone is welcome to stop by.

Second Annual Southern Gospel Fundraiser Benefiting CASA of Orange (Court appointed Special Advocates)
Save the date….APRIL 29, 2017. Concert to begin at 5:30 pm. Location: Faith United Methodist Church, 8608 MLK Jr Drive, Orange, Texas

Faith UMC,  8608 MLK, Orange, will host a Lenten service and lunch beginning Wednesday, March 8 and each Wednesday thereafter through April 5.  Service is at noon, followed by a delicious lunch. The entire community is invited.  For additional info, please contact the church office, 886-1291.

The Orangefield Bobcat Band is looking for craft vendors to set up at its 2nd Annual Crawfish Boil on April 1, 2017. This is our largest fundraiser of the year. All money collected goes directly to helping the band with needs that their budget cannot handle. The time frame is 10-5 and there is a $25.00 donation fee to do so. The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension of Orange County is having a class to help you select your plant for your lawn and garden.  Spring is right around the corner!  Ashlee Krebs, Orange County Ag and Natural Resources Agent, and the Orange County Master Gardeners are presenting this class.  It will be held on March 16 at 6:00 pm at the Jewell Cormier Park located at 8235 FM 1442 in Orangefield.  The cost to attend is $12.  Call 409-882-7010 to register.

Orange City Council Candidate Forum: Thurs, March 23, 6 – 7:30 p.m., LSCO-Student Center, 407 Green. The General Election is May 6 and early voting starts April 24.
The Orange Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) is beginning their annual drive to collect “gently used” books for their scholarship fund. All books, fiction, non-fiction, hardbound and paperback are needed.  Also wanted are audio and video tapes, CDs, DVDs, video and board games, and puzzles.  These may be delivered to the Mann Insurance Agency, located at 1505 Park Avenue at 15th Street, during regular business hours. If unable to deliver your donations, you may call 886-5739 or 886-2194 to arrange for pickup.  The AAUW will collect books until March 31st.  The book sale will be in conjunction with Art in the Park.
New Hope Community, Church of God in Vidor will be having a ” Jesus March” on April 8th at 10:30 AM.  Marching Area: Starting from Vidor High School to Mutt & Jeff’s!  All ages welcome!  Bring Banners and Posters and your tambourines and Christian Flags!
