The Orange African American Museum will be selling catfish dinners at noon Friday as a fundraiser. The dinners will include catfish, french fries, baked beans, a soda and a sweet all for a donation of $8. 1st Annual Labor Day Event to honor all hardworking people in our community and their families. The event will be at Lions Den Park in Orange, TX on Saturday (9/02) from 11am to 2pm. Vidor Lions Club – “Fields of Freedom” – Veterans Park – We are taking applications through September 15, 2017 for veteran names to be engraved on the upright military granite stones at the Veteran’s Park “Fields of Freedom”; cost is $100 per name. Brick pavers from $75 – $100 can be personalized for military service recognition or for individuals, families, clubs or businesses. Granite pavers (8″X12″) costing $300 can be etched with pictures, logos, and history about your friend, family member, organization or business. Forms for these projects are available at the Vidor Library, Goin Postal, and Memorial Funeral Home or by contacting Joanne Ledger at (409) 828-1322.
