Two masked men hit a Crawdad’s clerk with a pistol and stole money from the cash register Thursday night. The robbery was about 8:30 p.m. at the Crawdad’s at Interstate 10 and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Orange. Orange Police Officer Justin Kirkpatrick reported the clerk was not seriously hurt and declined medical attention. The robbers were described as black men with one wearing all black clothing with a yellow mask covering his face. The other was dressed in red with a red mask. They had a black semi-automatic pistol. They drove away in an older-model four-door silver Buick. Anyone with information should contact the Orange Police Department at 409-883-1026. The same store was robbed on June 8. During that robbery, an Orange patrol officer walked into the store as the robber was going out the door. The officer chased the robber but the man escaped. Detective Captain Cliff Hargrave said that robbery is still unsolved.
