Christopher “Chris” Scott Edwards, age 46, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 13, 2017.
Christopher was a native of Florida, and had lived in Sulphur off and on all of his life. He was an avid reader, but what he loved most was Sci-Fi. He spent hours and hours at the library reading. Christopher started cooking at a young age, and was a natural chef. He enjoyed playing cards especially poker. Christopher loved hanging out with his cousin, Darren Doherty going to movies, playing pool and cooking together. He also enjoyed traveling all over to catch up and spend time with his family. Christopher was known to his family as “Boy”. He was a loving and very giving soul who will be never forgotten.
Those left behind to cherish his memories are his mother, Patee “Dodie” Doherty and fiance’, Steve LaCour of Orange, TX; father, Thomas Edwards and wife, Cindy of Kinder; sister, Cathy Hill and husband, Matt of Sulphur; sister, Knecole Baucom and husband, Michael of Seneca, South Carolina; sister, Rebecca Kessinger and husband, Jake of Houston, Texas; brother, Sam Pratt and Brittney Hall of Tall Timbers, Maryland; special aunt, Terri “M&M” LeMire and husband, Mike of El Paso, TX; nieces and nephews, Mickey, Patrick, Sammi, Andy, Allie, Kimberly, Thomas, Clementine, Lorelai, and one on the way; maternal grandfather, Scott H Doherty of DeRidder, La; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Patricia Berg Doherty, Eugene and Rosemary Pratt, Geneva Guidry, uncle, Bruce Pratt, and special aunts, Cass Greer and Peg Taylor.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2017 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial. Celebrant Jody Barrilleaux will lead services. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service. Cremation was entrusted to Hixson-Sulphur Memorial.
