The LCM Bears rolled up 556 yards of offense in a 58-38 win over Silsbee Friday night at Battlin’ Bear Stadium.
LCM (2-2, 1-0) took care of business in the first half, scoring on six of their seven possessions to take a 44-18 lead. Running back Chris Winters went wild in the first two quarters, rushing 13 times for 162 yards and three touchdowns. He also added a two point conversion and an interception on defense.
Silsbee (1-4, 0-1) tallied 355 yards for the game offensively, but their run-oriented game changed in the first quarter when starting running back Adonis Thomas went down with a shoulder injury.
Winters finished with 225 yards on 27 carries while J’Lon Douglas rushed for 97 yards and three touchdowns. Quarterback Ethan McCollum ran for 104 yards.
The Bears travel to Bridge City Friday while the Tigers play Navasota.
