Bridge City Assistant Police Chief Brad Frye was going home Tuesday evening on FM1442 when a motorcycle flew past him on the shoulder of the road, clocked at over 100 mph. The motorcycle had straight pipes and was so loud it brought several people out of their homes to see where the noise was coming from.
Frye pursued the motorcycle from 1442 down FM 408 into Orangefield. He lost sight briefly but was able to pick up the tire tracks which lead him to an abandoned home on Scales Rd. where the suspect drove the bike into the home and parked it in the kitchen before fleeing the scene. The bike was reported as stolen.
