What’s your favorite “festival” food?
Well, whatever it may be, we’re sure to have it at the 2009
Holiday in the Park celebration on November 7th in
West Orange. From gumbo to red beans & rice to
hamburgers, hotdogs, boudain, pork-a-bobs, BBQ, funnel cakes, and
even fried Twinkies and Oreos – we’ll have it all!
And to assist in your holiday shopping,
we’ll have a one-stop-shopping event, with many booths selling items
such as hair bows, diaper bags, pot holders, greeting cards,
candles, lamps, jewelry, handbags, gift baskets, Christmas
centerpieces and wreaths, inflatable toys, holiday craft items,
stepping stones, canvas crafts, ceramic crosses, religious items,
sachet bags, wooden Christmas yard decorations and handmade wooden
bird houses and squirrel feeders.
If you’re in the market for Christmas
decorations, Holiday
in the Park will be the place to shop. Indoor and outdoor
decorations will be available…but don’t delay…they go quickly!
Supervised craft projects for children
will be done throughout the day, free of charge. Another free
activity for the kids will be a large moonwalk.
Featured local entertainment for the
festival includes Shon Branham, Rhode Khyll, Sydney Hines,
and the Pinehurst Pentecostal & 1st
Pentecostal
Church’s Sign Team.
So mark your calendar now for
Saturday, November 7th, 10:00 A.M. – dusk; next door to
West Orange City Hall
(2700 Western Ave.).
Make plans to join us for a fun-filled day of entertainment,
shopping, eating and visiting with your friends…and don’t
forget…there is no entrance fee for the event, so come on down and
bring all your family and friends!
All available booth spaces have been
reserved, however if you are interested in being placed on a waiting
list for a space, please contact West Orange City Hall
(409-883-3468). In the event a vendor cancels, the space will go to
the first person on the waiting list. Also, if you and/or a group
have a special talent that you’d like to share, please give us a
call and we’ll see if we can work you in.
