On September 7, 1995 the body of THERESA DARLENE FOSKEY, W/F, a 28 year old Bridge City resident was found in the Sabine River in Newton County.  The victim had apparently been killed at her Mobile Home in The Bayou Shadows Trailer Park in Bridge City and her body transported to Deweyville and dumped into the river.  Orange County Sherriff’s Office along with several other local agencies and the Texas Rangers Cold Case Unit worked on the case.  The investigation continued over the last 14 years and the case was presented to the Orange County District Attorneys Office for disposition in June 2009. 

On 7/1/2009 the case was submitted to the Orange County Grand Jury and the Grand Jury returned an indictment for Capital Murder on JAMES “JAMIE” EDWARD HOLDEN, DOB 12/07/1967, a 41 year old Deweyville resident.  An arrest warrant was signed by Judge Dennis Powell of the Orange County 163rd District Court and JAMES “JAMIE” EDWARD HOLDEN was arrested in Jefferson County on 7/2/2009.  He was arraigned in Jefferson County and transported to the Orange County Jail.  Bond has been denied and is he is currently in the Orange County Jail. 

The Orange County District Attorney’s Office is handling the case.
